In the Beginning
In September of 1958 bids were accepted to build the first “City” hospital for $295,339. On December 15th of 1959 the hospital board met with the City Council to formulate plans to operate the hospital and hire the first employee of the hospital. In the 50+ years since there have been multiple additions and renovations to the hospital, with the largest being a 4.2 million dollar renovation and addition that was completed in May of 2007, and the most recent a new CT scanner and addition completed May of 2016.
Today
Fairview Regional Medical Center now offers a comprehensive line of healthcare solutions, diagnostic testing and treatments. Fairview Regional Medical Center is pleased to be a partner with the communities of Major County and contribute to the health and wellness of its citizens.
Our Goal
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership with the community over the coming years. Although we may not offer all of the services that are offered in the larger communities, the difference is the services we offer are offered in a loving manner. We care for our patients like family because we are “Family Centered Healthcare”. We look forward to the future and being the healthcare provider of choice for Fairview and our surrounding communities.
