SWINGBED

FRMC participates in the Medicare certified Swing Bed program which provides post-acute, extended skilled care services following a three day (at least) acute care admission. This level of nursing and/or physical therapy rehabilitation requires a physician’s order from the FRMC active medical staff.    Patients often return to FRMC for an inpatient swing bed stay following orthopedic, general surgical procedures, stroke or other diagnosis that they need more time to recover.  This allows patients to be close to home and/or loved ones during their rehabilitation process.
